The Atlanta Falcons traded away 14-year veteran and former league MVP Matt Ryan to the Indianapolis Colts on Monday. As painful as it is for some fans, both Ryan and the team will be better off from the move.
The Falcons get out of a contract that was keeping them in salary cap hell and therefore, hurting their ability to contend. Meanwhile, Ryan gets a chance to end his career with another Super Bowl on a team that is ready to win now.
