The Falcons shelled out a ton of money to sign Jessie Bates in free agency but the 26-year-old safety has played so well through the first 13 games that his contract is starting to look like a bargain.
Bates has taken over multiple games this season with his playmaking ability while helping turn Atlanta’s defense around. Despite the team’s 29-25 loss to the Buccaneers, Bates turned in another quality performance in Week 14.
