Atlanta United did just enough to punch its ticket to the U.S. Open Cup semifinal against a gritty, physical Saint Louis FC team Wednesday night at Fifth Third Bank Stadium in Kennesaw. Emerson Hyndman provided an assist in his debut for Pity Martinez, who finished with a sublime curling effort to give Atlanta the edge it needed. Frank de Boer’s side will face Orlando City or NYCFC in the semifinals.
