Can the Five Stripes find three points north of the border?
On May 15th, 2021, in the 4th minute of stoppage time, the head of one Marcelino Moreno found a dangerous Jake Mulraney cross and redirected the ball off the right goalpost and into the back of the net to give Atlanta United a 1-0 victory with nearly the last event of the match.
Since then, the Five Stripes have undergone a ten match winless streak, along with enough inner turmoil and player absences to last a while. But tonight, the two meet again, and Atlanta are starting to show signs of life that may help them climb out of the MLS basement. A valiant fight against Orlando and players returning from international duty should make for an interesting game with Montreal, now returned to their proper Canadian home.
The run of nationally televised games has come to an end, though, and fans are back to their methods of accessing Bally Sports in order to view the action.
