With Ozzie Albies heading to the IL, Michael Harris II appears to be moving on up in the lineup.
As expected, the Atlanta Braves are having a minor shakeup with their lineup following Ozzie Albies’ injury and his subsequent trip to the 10-day IL. There are some changes that may be only for this night only and other changes that are probably going to be the norm until Ozzie returns from injury. For now, let’s check out the lineups for both the Braves and the Houston Astros.

Michael Harris II is now batting second and I’d imagine that this will probably remain his spot until Ozzie returns from injury. While you definitely don’t want to see Ozzie go down due to injury, the one positive in all this is that Harris will be getting some more ABs and could really form a dangerous 1-2 punch with Ronald Acuña Jr. at the top of the order.
Meanwhile, Luis Guillorme suddenly finds himself in the lineup for a second day in a row after he started in order to give Orlando Arcia a day off on Monday night. Arcia is back in the lineup but Guillorme will be playing second base and we’ll probably be seeing him a lot more often until Ozzie returns from his ailment. Finally, Chadwick Tromp is giving Travis d’Arnaud a chance to rest, so he’s starting at catcher tonight.

The top five in Houston’s lineup remains unchanged from last night. Chas McCormick has moved down in the order from sixth to eighth, Jeremy Peña has moved up from seventh to sixth, John Singleton is playing first base and batting seventh in lieu of José Abreu and Jake Meyers is batting ninth and playing center field after Mauricio Dubón got the nod yesterday.
Tonight’s game can be seen at 8:10 P.M. E.T. on Bally Sports Southeast or TBS if you’re out-of-market and can be listened to on the Braves Radio Network.
