Both teams copy-pasted yesterday’s lineups for today’s game.
I wrote a little about the pitching matchup earlier in the game preview.
The Braves also lost an important piece to their bullpen for a short IL stint with a scary designation.
The Braves are going with their typical lineup against right-handed pitching with d’Arnaud getting the nod at catcher, batting sixth. The lineup is identical to yesterday’s and is one that we are quite used to with Snitker’s plug and chug lineup construction style. The Braves only produced two runs in the first 9 innings yesterday, adding on one zombie runner in two extra innings. This continues a run of really poor offense from the Braves, which is a shame, considering their offensive talent level. The bright side is that both Austin Riley and Ronald Acuna hit homers last night and they have both been struggling recently. Hopefully they can build on that.

The Dodgers also have an identical lineup to yesterday, so this is quite an unspectacular lineup announcement. The top of their lineup features their trio of superstars in Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani, and Freddie Freeman, with the highly talented Will Smith batting cleanup.
